Oh, man! I had a busy April!
If I wasn’t scoring another Camp NaNoWriMo victory, I was in an art class improving my character drawing skills (which really paid off!). When I wasn’t doing either of those, I was working with my dad on things for his new Quigley shooting club, the Trestle Valley Longshots. If that wasn’t enough, I also started and finished a new book (more on that in a minute) and did some much needed spring cleaning.
And I still have to start my garden.

At least I’ve finally finished my backlog of art commissions. And now, I get to enjoy the nice, warm weather and sunlight.
Anyway, on to new things!
I guess I should start with that new book I mentioned.
It’s called the Otherworld Primer, and it is chock full of insider information and original concept art from The AEON Files (I told you that art class came in handy). It even has previews and deleted scenes! Best of all: It’s FREE.
There is a catch though. See… to get it, you have to join my new mailing list. It takes less than a minute to fill out the form and receive the email with the download (a PDF).
But don’t worry, I won’t spam you with newsletters. Though I may occasionally send you discount codes to use at the Phantom Bazaar, notify you of upcoming contests, appearances, and releases, and important announcements or opportunities.
Announcements like the other big news coming this month. 😉
You ready for it?
Drum roll please!
(Sorry; couldn’t resist.)
Okay. I’ve had my fun.
The big news is that I have a publisher very interested in signing me on for a five-year contract. They want to see how I handle a semi-minor revision. “Edgier” was the word they used.
So! I have a good amount of work to do in a little bit of time. . . Again.
Should be fun.
Until next time!
PS, One of the common questions writers get asked is: What does your office/writing space look like?
I’ve been asked this a few times, so I thought I’d share.
It’s usually more chaotic than this, but I think I had cleaned up the day before taking this pic. You can see all my paint for the Blue Muse side of things (that’s my art company), as well as some of my composition notebooks for my writing.
What you don’t see in that pic is my library (a portion of it anyway). It’s on the shelf above the Mod Podge.
Anyway, I just thought I’d share that.
