I really dislike the fact that there's really nothing here for authors; aspiring, established, or bestselling.
In my opinion, writing a query requires a different type of preparation than writing a novel. There's also a different mindset. After all, I'm sending out my hard work to people I don't even know in hopes of getting them interested in backing me and my ideas.
It's release week! And I am about to reveal the titles for the next THREE (yep, I said 3) books within the AEON universe.
I have so much fun making characters that I sometimes forget to keep them "human." Then again, not all of my characters are (as my 38 dragons can attest). But this is my process:
A new year has dawned. It's time for a fresh start, and (hopefully) some new luck. It's also time to start looking at what to get done this year.
You may have noticed a little drying up of snippets and updates of my writing over the last week. I apologize for that, but, after winning my fourth NaNoWriMo event, I took some time off to catch up on a project for charity. Now that that's complete, it's right back to work on The Bone Prophet.
